Hi all. Wow, how long have I been absent from this blog? So long now. I needed a break. Thanks to Sarah for keeping it all up and running in my [extended] absence (and doing a fabulous job). I’ve been fiddling around with the template and the like (does anyone know how to get the title to be black instead of white?!- you can’t see it at present) so now the Wo! Front has a new skin. Do you like it?
Anyway, I’m not sure if this post signals a come back to the world of feminist blogging or for me but you never do know…you may be hearing more from me soon.
Anna
Hi there blog readers,
Issue three of Wo! is now live so head over to the index and check it out.
This month features stories on morality laws in Indonesia, a run-down of NSW Liberal Party shenanigans, Ten-days at a silent meditation camp, an interview with a renowned pole dancer and lots lots more.
There are a few things to note:
1. The pdf version of issue three is not yet available. This is because I am human and am running a bit late this month but never fear it will be done.
2. You may notice that this issue is for October/November. Wo! is going bi-monthly for the time-being. Sorry to the avid readers who were getting used to their monthly instalment but time constraints are getting the better of me. I need to write my thesis.
3. There is now links at the bottom of the articles to discussion forums so readers can discuss and comment on the article and issues raised therein.
Issue four will be coming out in early December which means the deadline is November 4.
Happy reading!
Starting from this week The Wo! Front will have two more bloggers keeping you entertained and/or informed.
Sarah Malik will be blogging about anything from religion to arts, culture, politics, law, all from a gendered perspective. One of her main interests is in international feminist struggles in developing countries.
Also joining us at some point this week will be Eliza Sarlos, who is now our resident “culture guru”.
So make them feel welcome yo!
Issue one of Wo! Magazine is now live!
So head on over there and check it out:

If you experience any technical difficulties please leave a comment and let me know about it.
Happy reading!
So yesterday was July 2, which means that not only did the deadline pass but the poll for our new subtitle is now closed. And the winner is….drumroll…
The magazine with the Wo! down
Thanks to Mandy for providing a winner.
So I’ve narrowed down the poll answers to a possible five, by deleting those that hadn’t as yet gotten a vote. This poll will end on July 2 (which is the same date as the deadline for issue one of the magazine) so if you want to get in on the action vote now (or sometime before July 2).
