Wo! Magazine welcomes submissions from anyone who is tired of the vacuous and vapid choices on the news stands and would like to contribute to, and in the process create, a women’s magazine that is different. Send us your poetry, musings, feature articles, how tos, crafty creations and DIYs, adbusts, tidbits (or as we here at Wo! like to call them – ‘pinkbits’), cartoons, designs, fiction, photos and news from the Wo! front to:

Style Guide: The stuff we want

Features
Got a great feature, profile or investigative story idea and want to write for us? Either send them through or contact us and let us know about it. 800-1200 words. (Remember photos!)
ReFashioned
If you’re a high priestess of recycled fashion, a screen printer extroardinaire, a maestro of turning tired clothing into high art, handy with a sewing machine, addicted to op shops, send us a photo (before and after) and a how-to of your creations.
DIY: Sisters doing it for themselves
If you’re in the know about DIY let us all in on the secret – from podcasts to screen printing to tattoos to Oh Lordy! the possibilities are endless.
Ladbusters
Submit your designs and culture jams for our ‘ladbusters’ page. This page will be devoted to stencils, t-shirt designs, art, culture jams and posters that readers at home can either admire from afar or download for their own nefarious ends. Mwahahaha.
Entertain us
Features, profiles, reviews in the wonderful world of entertainment – music, literature, art, theatre, food and cinema. (Women-focussed and alternative subject matter preferred).
Word
Anything from erotica to brilliant prose and short stories. No longer than 1000 words.
Pinkbits
Poetry, tidbits, splatterings of ink, myths dispelled – The little things that matter.
News from the Wo! Front
If you’re actively seeking change in regards to women’s rights let us know about it in this section.
Word from a broad
If you live outside of Australia, give us some insight into your world and what’s going on inside it.
Submissions may be edited for length and clarity. All submissions remain the copyright of the writer or producer. Unfortunately Wo! is unable to provide financial remuneration for submissions due to our nascent position and brokeness. What we can give you is that warm fuzzy feeling that comes from donating time and work to independent, feminist media.
